What time zone does Indonesia follow?

In Indonesia, there are three (3) different time zones:

  1. Indonesia Eastern Standard Time (WIT) for cities like Maluku and Papua (UTC+09:00).

  2. Indonesia Central Standard Time (WITA) for cities like Sulawesi and Bali Island (UTC+08:00).

  3. Indonesia Western Standard Time (WIB) for cities like Jakarta and Bandung (UTC+07:00).

Understanding time zone differences is essential for companies setting up a distributed workforce and hiring remote employees from Indonesia, especially for companies working in synchronous working mode culture.
