How do local and foreign employees file in Thailand for tax clearance?
Local and foreign employees are subject to the same tax clearance process. However, foreign employees may need to provide supporting documents such as their passport or visa information in order for the Revenue Department to confirm their foreign status.
Can employees submit their monthly taxes on their own?
Employees are not allowed to submit their own monthly taxes. It is their employer’s responsibility to deduct their income tax and file them on a monthly basis.
