This article explains how to calculate basic pay proration with example.
Basic pay proration is used to calculate an employee’s pay based on a fraction of their regular or full-time salary. It can be calculated using this following method:
- BPP: (Basic Salary ÷ Actual Day of the Month) x Working Days (including holidays and weekends)
For example, if an employee has the basic salary of THB 20,000 and starts their work at January 10, the pay they will receive is calculated as follows:
(20,000/31) x 22 = 14,193.55
Therefore, the employee will receive THB 14,193.55 for the work they performed in January.
