What does the Indonesian collective leave mean?
The collective leave is an Indonesian government policy indicating country-wide holiday days typically concurrent with public holidays. All employees of the public sector are eligible for collective leave, but the same might not apply to private sectors.
Although collective leaves are not granted to private companies, employers can still allow their employees to apply. However, taking collective leaves will be at the expense of employee’s yearly leave entitlements, meaning that employees’ yearly leave entitlements will be reduced should they choose to take the collective leave.
