AYP is looking for a motivated Web Developer to combine technology and design in forming our marketing websites and collaborate hand in hand with the Marketing teams.

Responsibility
- Design, build, maintain and manage the responsive website’s front-end (search optimised) and back-end including database and server integration.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the infrastructure team on website architecture.
- Generate and manage WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conduct website performance testing and monitoring of the websites.
- Perform regular tests on website SEO rankings.
- Troubleshoot content and technical SEO issues for the websites.
- Assist to enhance and maintain SEO competitiveness.
- Research the latest SEO guidelines and implement them.
- Convert mockups into a high-quality email-friendly HTML template.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders in the web design process.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with a solid foundation.
- Min 3 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Experience in working with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and the web design process.
- Experience in high-traffic and high-demand software development.
- Fluent in communication using the English Language.
- Able to work in a close-knit team as well as independently.
- Good understanding of website architecture.
- Practice Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
- Experience in CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Experience in working with code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience in Restful or GraphQL API development and integration.
- Passionate and consistently working towards high standards and goals.
- Willingness to learn and accept criticism for the benefit of self-improvement is a must.
Experience in the following is a plus:
- Certification in SEO or Google Analytics.
- Experience in UI/UX.
- Experience in microservices and containerised development such as Docker.
- Experience in email spam filter score.
