What is disguised employment?

A disguised employee is often disguised in their employment status. Misclassification of workers, where hiring employees as independent contractors, is a typical example of disguised employment.

Disguised employment happens when the employer hires freelancers or part-time workers as the company's employees, which either the company unconsciously or consciously misclassify workers in such a way as to exploit their employees' rights.

In other words, depriving the freelancers or contractors right by treating them as full-time employees for work completion.
